Manchester entered three teams in the Junior 4NCL at Daventry 28/29th September.

Best overall result must be Thisumi Jayawarna of Heywood with 4.5/5 but everybody scored positively. Honourable mentions for Ethan Gardiner (Three C’s) who held his opponent (graded 177) to a draw in the last round and Rowan Eccleston (Bolton) who also scored 4.5

The A team played in the A division and came joint 4th (7th on tie breaks) The B and C teams played in the second division and came 18th and 19th respectively. Most of our players recorded results at 50% or above.

Results can be seen at chess-results.com

It was good to see a Three C’s team in the B Division and perhaps we can collaborate over entries in the next match which is:

19/20th January 2019 in Solihull

Any MCF Juniors with a grade in the range 60-140 who would like to play contact Julian Clissold at julian.clissold@outlook.com
