Ten teams have been battling away to be chess champions of Bolton over the last year .The final match of the season was as SS Osmund &Andrew's RC Primary School on Thursday 26th June. After a tense battle which lasted over an hour the boys from Bolton School were victors and will hold the shield for a year .

The Plate competition was narrowly won by St Maxentius Primary school ahead of SS Osmund & Andrew's Primary School .
