Over thirty local children will compete with members of the public during an exciting “Chessathon” to raise money to support people with mental health issues
On Saturday 12 September, a dedicated space in Market Place Bolton will become a buzzing games hub, as children challenge passing shoppers to play for a small donation.
The young fundraisers are members of Manchester Junior Chess, and attend local schools and chess clubs. They chose to support Manchester Mind, which offers a specialist youth service, so that no young person has to face a mental health issue alone.
