Thirteenchildren from Manchester Junior Chess took part in an international chess matchwith children from Rybnik in Poland. The tournament was overseen by WGMAgnieszka Clement-Matras and her team from Szkoła Podstawowa, a Polish Schoolthat is one of the leading centres for Junior Chess in Poland.

The childrenplayed two matches and the games were hard fought. The final day saw an epicfinish between Jennifer Neil (Bolton Chess Club) and Wiktoria Cieslak (Rybnik)with Manchester needing a win to tie the series. Jennifer got the result an theoverall score over two games was 13-13. Scores.
